The boys played very well in the first match and won 3.5 - 1.5 against the favourites, Newcastle West, but unfortunately couldn’t overcome Castleisland in the afternoon. The weather was hot and playing two matches in the day was a challenge bearing in mind that Castleisland were the home team and had been given a bye in the morning. Castleisland went on to win the weekend event and go through to the area final.
